An easy way to brand your Twitter profile is to provide a URL on your profile where a reader can click through to learn more about you. So, what do you put here if you don’t have a website or blog? You can add your LinkedIn, VisualCV, a link to a recent article you’ve written / an article where you were interviewed, and many other possibilities.
I have recently published a book called, “I’m in a Job Search–Now What???” My Amazon link is extremely lengthy and not one that I could easily remember. I wanted to add this link, but also wanted it to be easy enough to remember. I found a resource called “Tiny CC” that is a URL shortner, but gives you the ability to also customize your URL. My new URL for the link to my book on Amazon is http://tiny.cc/JobSearch. So, not only do I have an easy URL to post on my Twitter profile, but it’s also simple enough for me to remember and give if someone wants to find my book on Amazon.
